Dr. Harrison Van der Linde

A proud third-generation San Diegan, Dr. Harrison Van der Linde is dedicated to providing exceptional eye care to his community. He graduated from Mt. Carmel High School before earning his Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from UC Davis in 2013. During his time at Davis, he was a member of the swim team and competed with the triathlon club.

Inspired by the meaningful connection he formed with his childhood optometrist, Dr. Van der Linde pursued a career in eye care, earning his Doctor of Optometry degree from UC Berkeley in 2019. During his final year of training, he completed a six-month externship at the Miami VA, where he developed a strong passion for ocular disease management, particularly glaucoma. He is also deeply committed to pediatric optometry, a passion that stems from his experience growing up and volunteering in his mother’s third-grade classroom.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Van der Linde is always happy to chat about Padres baseball or music. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar and staying active.
